These sessions are designed to provide people with the confidence to try out running in a safe and unintimidating environment.  The schedule is based loosely on a ‘couch to 5k’ programme where you will build up gradually to the potential of running most or all of a 5k distance.

Learning outcomes

Students will:

  • Improve their mental health and wellbeing through the physical activity of running
  • Be able to have the confidence to run 5 kilometres
  • Feel able to go out and join local run groups or participate in a local parkrun* if desired
